Feminists: this is the biggest backlash we’ve ever faced

I just spent the day (Giving Tuesday) volunteering at a women’s shelter. I asked several women if they would feel safe with a male-born transgenderist sharing their space. They were terrified by the idea and repeatedly asked me, and then the staff, if there were men in the shelter. The staff next told me to stop asking, as I was scaring the clients. Just the thought of men, in any format, in their refuge terrified them.
